What is LeadOn?
LeadOn is more than an annual youth leadership conference in Anchorage—it’s a year-round, statewide
prevention program that empowers teens (ages 13–18) and the adults who support them to create safer, healthier communities.
Through summer planning sessions, the fall conference, youth-led community projects, and opportunities to share their successes, LeadOn helps young people build leadership skills, healthy relationships, and the confidence to make positive change.

We are excited to announce the upcoming fall LeadOn Youth Leadership Conference. This year LeadOn will be held October 4-6th in Anchorage, Alaska.
The Valdez LeadOn team had planned in-person activities and events to focus on healthy teen relationships, but when COVID-19 closed the community, they had to adapt their project.
As the young people who are inheriting this island, we are trying to raise awareness and create change, so our island and communities are healthier and safer.
